Trips
We focus mainly on the lower Columbia river below Bonneville dam and into the Pacific Ocean. The year starts with the prized Spring Chinook run. You won't find a better tasting salmon. This season runs March through April depending on what our game dept. gives us. Our prime season is June through September for Chinook and Coho salmon. Starting August 1st, we'll fish the famous "Buoy 10" area of the Columbia River out of Astoria Oregon. Join us in the summer and we'll combine salmon with bottomfish for a true "grocery" trip!
One of our most fun fisheries! We will chase bottomfish from March through September, weather conditions pending. We love to fish with light tackle for these hard fighting, great tasting fish! Each cast can bring a different specie of fish to the boat. These species include black, and blue rockfish (sea bass), copper rockfish, quillback rockfish, cabezon, and ling cod. Contact us about salmon/bottomfish combination trips during the summer.
about
RJ has been fishing the Lower Columbia river and Pacific ocean for the past 25 years. He grew up in SW Washington chasing fish on the Columbia and all the local tributaries. His passion is helping people catch fish, be it their first or their last. We fish from a custom built 26’ Alumaweld that was designed to provide comfort and safety offshore as well as nimble enough to navigate upriver while chasing various species in shallower water. RJ is a licensed Coast Guard captain and fully insured.
“My enjoyment comes from watching a child catch their first salmon – to a grandparent possibly catching their last. I will do my best to make your memories last a lifetime!”
